AESDP AND ASI PARTNERSHIP EXPANDS TO 2021



It is with great pleasure that AESDP – Portuguese Surfing School Association and ASI – Academy of Surfing Instructors announce the extension of the partnership to the year 2021. ASI, an international reference in the teaching of Surf, SUP and Bodyboard, operates in Portugal as a training entity, specialized in sport.


It is certified by DGERT (General Directorate for Employment and Labor Relations) as a Training Entity in the area of ​​education and training in Sport. In this sense, since 2019, the ASI has been approved by the IPDJ (Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, I.P.) to teach courses for Surfing Coaches Grade I.


As a result of this partnership, each participant who takes the Surfing Coaches Grade I course with ASI will benefit from 1 year of membership as an associate member of AESDP.


“We are proud to support the growth of AESDP,” says Tania Nesbitt, Director of ASI. “AESDP offers a voice to Surf Schools and professionals in Portugal, so that they can be heard by different levels of government and tourism.”


In addition, Coaches who complete the ASI 'IPDJ Grade I Surfing Trainers' course also have the option of enrolling in the ASI 'Level 1 Surfing Instructor' course, in order to complement their training and obtain an instructor qualification international surfing, which will make them able to work in different corners of the world.
