MATOSINHOS SURF SCHOOL CUP: PEDRAS DO CORGO RECEIVES THE 2nd STAGE OF THE MATOSINHOS INTER-SCHOOL SURF MUNICIPAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
It is next Sunday, June 25th, that the second race of this unique competition in Portugal will take place, at Praia Pedras do Corgo.
This event promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos and which is organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, takes place on different beaches in the municipality, with the competition taking place by teams, in a relay format. This event promises to close in style a weekend of popular saints and a lot of partying in the north of the country.
It is already next weekend that the next event of this competition starts, which aims to promote the coastline of the municipality of Matosinhos and encourage greater unity and rapprochement between the local Surf Schools, in moments of sharing and conviviality and without the main focus on the competitive aspect.
The relay competition format is innovative in Portugal and allows each School to be represented by a team of 5 elements: 1 Coach and 4 students.
The Matosinhos Surf School Cup is promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, candidate for European City of Sport 2025, and organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal. The event has the support of Matosinhos Sport, APDL - Administration of the Ports of Douro, Leixões and Viana do Castelo, SA, Deeply, Buondi, Ocyano and Sydra.

Note: depending on sea and weather conditions, the locations and dates of the tests may be changed.
All events will also feature other actions and activities for the whole family, which will take place in parallel on the respective beach, promoted by the partners and sponsors of the event. These activities will be as follows:
Deeply Soft Top Fun Contest: relaxed moment of “competition” with Deeply softboards, where a Deeply prize will be awarded to the most creative/fun wave. It takes place before the end of the test.
Limpeza de praia: moment that will bring together all the teams, friends, family and bathers present on the beach, for a beach cleaning, promoted and streamlined by the organization.
