The competition was marked by the good weather and the excellent formation of the waves, which allowed the teams to perform well. This competition, promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos and organized by the Association of Surfing Schools of Portugal, runs by teams in a relay format.
The Matosinhos Surf School Cup is a special championship, by teams and in a tag-team format, with each Surf School being represented by a team of 5 elements: 1 Coach and 4 Students. The second competition took place on Sunday, at Aterro Beach, on a sunny day, hot and with many waves and had the participation of the following Surf Schools in the municipality: Fish Surf School, Onda Pura, Penas Surf School, Salty Wave, Surfing Life Club and Surfitbox.

2nd: Surfitbox | 19.01 pts
3rd: Penas Surf School | 16.73 pts
4th: Salty Wave | 15.23 pts
During the day of the race, the following parallel actions took place, promoted by the event sponsors:
Matosinhos Collects and Transforms – Clean Beach: sustainability and beach cleaning dynamics, developed by Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, Municipality of Matosinhos and AESDP, offering gifts to everyone who participated in cleaning the beach.
Deeply Soft Top Fun Contest: relaxed moment of “competition” with Deeply softboard boards, consisting of 3 heats and where a Surf Skate Deeply was awarded to the most fun wave.
Adapted Surf Lesson: promoted by Deeply for a group of young people with special needs, through the Onda Pura Surf School.
The Matosinhos Surf School Cup is promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, with the sponsorship of APDL, Deeply, Sociedade Comercial C. Santos and Matosinhos Sport.
The next competition is scheduled for the next December 5th, at Matosinhos Beach. All events will feature other actions and activities for the whole family, which will take place in parallel on the respective beach, promoted by partners and sponsors of the event.
