It is next Sunday, November 21, that the second competition of this unique championship in Portugal will take place, at Aterro beach. Event promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos and organized by the Association of Surfing Schools of Portugal, takes place on different beaches in the municipality, with the competition taking place by teams, in a relay format.

After the success of the opening test of the Matosinhos Surf School Cup, the first surfing championship ever held at Praia do Cabo do Mundo, it is now Praia do Aterro's turn to host the second competition of this circuit.

This innovative event, which aims to promote the coastline of Matosinhos and encourage the practice of sliding sports, takes place in a competitive relay format, allowing moments of sharing and socializing between everyone.

More than a surfing championship, this is an event for the whole community, for friends and family, so there will be several activities taking place on the beach in parallel, especially the following:

  • Matosinhos Collects and Transforms – Clean Beach: sustainability and beach cleaning dynamics, developed by the Municipality of Matosinhos, AESDP and Sociedade Comercial C. Santos. Everyone is invited to appear on the beach, where all the necessary material will be made available to participate in cleaning the beach.

  • Deeply Soft Top Fun Contest: relaxed moment of “competition” with Deeply softboard boards, where a Deeply award will be given to the most creative / fun wave. It takes place before the final of the main competition.

For all these reasons, a day of surfing and beach culture celebration is guaranteed, with the participation of the council's Surf Schools and aimed at all surfers, enthusiasts and lovers of Matosinhos beaches.

The Matosinhos Surf School Cup is promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, with the sponsorship of APDL, Deeply, Sociedade Comercial C. Santos and Matosinhos Sport.
