It is already on April 15th, at Praia das Pedras do Corgo, that the fifth and final event of this first edition of the Inter-School Surfing Circuit of Matosinhos will take place. The event promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos and organized by the Portuguese Surf School Association takes place on different beaches in the municipality, with the competition taking place by teams, in a tag-team format.
After the success of the previous competitions, each one held on a different beach in the municipality of Matosinhos (Cabo do Mundo, Aterro, Matosinhos and Agudela), the grand finale is approaching, in Pedras do Corgo, which will decide the title of Surf School Circuit Champion.
This innovative event, which aims to promote the coastline of Matosinhos and foster greater union and approximation between the Surf Schools based in the municipality, takes place in a competitive relay format, allowing moments of sharing and conviviality between all.
More than a surfing championship, this is an event for the whole community, for friends and family, so there will be several activities happening on the beach in parallel, with emphasis on the following:
Matosinhos Recolhe e Transforma – Praia Limpa: dynamics of sustainability and beach cleaning, developed by the Municipality of Matosinhos, AESP and Sociedade Comercial C. Santos. Everyone is invited to appear on the beach, where all the necessary material will be made available to participate in the cleaning of the beach.
Deeply Soft Top Fun Contest: relaxed moment of “competition” with Deeply softboards, where a Deeply prize will be awarded to the most creative / fun wave. It takes place before the final of the main competition.
Finally, there will be an award ceremony at the end, which will be attended by the municipal executive and where the trophies of the race and the final trophy of the circuit will be delivered.
For all these reasons, a day of celebration of surfing and beach culture is guaranteed, with the participation of the Surf Schools of the municipality and aimed at all surfers, enthusiasts and lovers of the beaches of Matosinhos.
