The Portuguese Surf School Association (AESDP) prepared an open letter to the Government, which it sent to various members of the Executive, the Presidents of the Republic, the Assembly of the Republic, the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the Admiral of the National Maritime Authority.
This letter was sent in order to raise awareness of the need for a phased and responsible return to the activity, indicating the phases that AESDP considers to provide the necessary guarantees of safety and safeguarding the health of all. The Association also undertakes to prepare and present, by the end of the period of the current State of Emergency, a proposal for a contingency manual and new practices to be adopted by all operators.
AESDP is aware that each of the economic activities, as well as the recreational and leisure habits of the population, will necessarily have to be gradually recovered, and this letter is the Association's contribution to the phased return of the surf teaching activity. , in order to safeguard the survival of the operators.
