The Portuguese Surf School Association (AESDP) prepared a questionnaire that will allow a better understanding of the perspectives of different agents in relation to the current state of surfing in Portugal. Participate and be eligible to win a surfboard repair workshop and Polen Surfboards awards.
A new questionnaire, prepared by AESDP, is available for filling out online, aimed at three segments of the national surfing community: surfers, coaches and surf schools. The questions raised focus on the current state of management and regulation of this activity on Portuguese beaches.
AESDP is a reference entity in the knowledge of the legislative and regulatory context of surfing, which has been involved in the processes of adaptation and alteration of that same context. As such, the Association intends to understand the real opinions of the various agents that represent the surfing community, so that its performance meets everyone's expectations. This will is reinforced by the President of AESDP, João Diogo Pinto dos Santos, who reiterates that “over this first year of activity, we have sought to approach the entities responsible for the management and regulation of surf schools, and surf in a way general”, adding that “we are preparing a series of proposals to adapt the regulation to be presented to these entities and, to this end, we want to best represent all those who may be directly affected by any changes to the legislation”.
Among the participants in the questionnaire, a workshop for repairing boards will be raffled with Shaper Abílio Pinto from Billy Surfboards, as well as prizes from Polen Surfboards. During the month of November, a public presentation of the results of the questionnaire will be made and the winners of the draw will be announced, in Ericeira, on a date to be defined, which will be communicated later.
